Description

About Us

Health is the most important thing in life, and the American healthcare system is completely broken - poor outcomes, high cost, bad patient experience. We're building a new system from the ground up.

Our mission is to improve people’s health by making it easy to live a healthy lifestyle.

Nourish is the country's largest dietitian-led metabolic health clinic. We’re an AI-native digital health system matching patients with 10,000+ Registered Dietitians, physicians, medications, lab testing, and AI agents to deliver insurance-covered care across all 50 states. Founded four years ago, we've completed millions of appointments, tripled year-over-year, and partnered with health plans covering 200M+ Americans across 250+ health systems.

In 2026 we raised a $100M Series C, bringing total funding to $215M. The round was led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, Maverick Ventures, Y Combinator, BoxGroup, Atomico, Daybreak, and Operator Partners.

This is not a job for everyone. We hold an extremely high bar because we believe talent density is our biggest competitive advantage. We're looking for people who actively choose hard, ambiguous problems, who run toward unglamorous work, give and receive candid feedback, and bring relentless resilience without the ego. Our work is important, but we are not self-important. We do this because we’re solving one of the hardest problems in the world, and the problem matters. If that's you, we disproportionately reward it.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our growing finance team and own revenue accounting for our scaling business. This is a growth-stage accounting role — you will build scalable processes and own revenue accounting processes as the company grows.

Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Senior Lead, you will be a cornerstone of the monthly close — preparing journal entries, owning reconciliations, driving efficiencies, and building audit-ready workpapers. You closely will be partnering with our Revenue Cycle Management team to drive accuracy in our financials and ensure audit readiness.

We want someone who is strong in data analysis, process transformation, and genuinely curious about automation. You'll be expected to dig into our workflows, identify inefficiencies, and propose and implement improvements.

This role is full-time and located at Nourish’s NYC office in the heart of Gramercy, with remote flexibility. Occasional travel expected (e.g. to conferences, quarterly team meetings, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare journal entries and detailed revenue-related balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting documentation
  • Analyze new and evolving revenue arrangements as they arise, researching relevant guidance and proposing a recommended accounting treatment
  • Maintain and improve audit-ready workpapers and supporting schedules, building on the foundation established in our first audit
  • Use data analysis to investigate revenue variances, validate reconciliations, and catch discrepancies before they become problems
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies or gaps in revenue accounting and billing workflows and own or partner on implementing improvements
  • Bring curiosity and initiative to AI and automation — evaluate tools, run experiments, build AI workflows to automate manual/repeatable work, and implement solutions that make the team faster without sacrificing accuracy
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate financial data
  • Support special projects such as ERP implementation of new revenue streams, GAAP conversion, new entity consolidation, and automation initiatives

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • You have 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with previous public accounting experience (CPA preferred)
  • You have a strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close, and audit processes (ASC 606 experience preferred)
  • You are comfortable with data analysis to identify anomalies and validate numbers (SQL experience preferred), and you understand system workflows to identify where gaps may occur
  • You are curious about AI and automation and have a track record of finding and implementing workflow improvements
  • You are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience working with modern accounting systems and tools (e.g., Campfire, QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus
  • Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or telehealth a plus

About this role

Nourish is building a digital health system that matches patients with dietitians, physicians, and AI agents to deliver metabolic health care across all 50 states. As a rapidly scaling company that's completed millions of appointments and just raised $100M in Series C funding, they're now looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to own revenue accounting as the business grows. You'd report to the Revenue Accounting Senior Lead and serve as a cornerstone of the monthly close—preparing journal entries, owning reconciliations, building audit-ready workpapers, and partnering closely with the Revenue Cycle Management team to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.

The role demands someone who can build scalable processes from the ground up. Beyond the standard close work, you'll dig into workflows to identify inefficiencies, propose improvements, and take ownership of implementing them. There's a genuine emphasis on data analysis, automation, and curiosity about AI—you'd be expected to evaluate tools, run experiments, and build workflows that eliminate manual, repeatable work without compromising accuracy. You'll also handle evolving revenue arrangements, research accounting guidance, and support cross-functional projects like ERP implementation and GAAP conversion.

This is a full-time position based in Nourish's NYC office in Gramercy with remote flexibility, though occasional travel is expected. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public accounting background, strong US GAAP and ASC 606 knowledge, and comfort with data analysis (SQL preferred). A CPA is preferred. Healthcare or health-tech experience is a plus, as is familiarity with modern accounting systems like NetSuite or QuickBooks.
