Description
A Configuration Manager will oversee the lifecycle, version control, and consistency of software, hardware, or system components. They will develop configuration strategies, manage change control processes, and maintain accurate records in a Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The role is a blend of administrative tracking, auditing, and engineering change management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.
- Establish and maintain accurate configuration baselines for hardware, software, and documentation.
- Oversee engineering change requests (ECRs) and support
- Support asset tracking accuracy and lifecycle visibility.
- Conduct regular configuration audits and verification tests to check consistency against actual infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5+ years in IT service management, software development, or systems engineering operations.
- Familiarity with CMDB tools, ITIL frameworks, and version control or tracking software (e.g., Polarion, Team Foundation Server, ServiceNow).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and cross-functional communication skills.

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
