About this role

DLR Group's Orlando office is seeking a licensed civil engineer to join an integrated design team working across mixed-use, commercial, educational, sports, and hospitality projects. You'll take ownership of site development from concept through permitting, handling grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and all associated civil engineering deliverables using Civil 3D and related software. The role demands both technical depth—performing complex calculations, code research, and preparing detailed reports—and collaborative skill, as you'll coordinate regularly with architects, engineers, and clients throughout the design process.

This position suits someone with at least five years of building-focused site development experience in an A/E or design firm environment who values working across disciplines and understands how integrated design actually functions. You'll need a PE license, a Civil Engineering degree, and solid proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, plus working knowledge of tools like Hydraflow and InfraWorks. Strong communication, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to juggle multiple projects while meeting schedules are essential.

As a 100% employee-owned firm, DLR Group offers you literal ownership stake in the company's success. The Orlando role operates on a four-day in-office model with Friday flexibility, and the firm is actively committed to sustainability goals and collaborative, value-driven practice.
