About this role

Supporting the future operations leadership of Marine Forces Pacific requires someone deeply versed in military command structures and the rhythms of senior-level decision-making. As Operations Officer for ANSER's G-35 Directorate, you would be the organizational backbone for the Director, Deputy Director, and branch heads—managing their calendars and meeting logistics, tracking taskings from general officers, and ensuring information flows clearly between leadership and subordinate teams. Your days would involve coordinating planning groups and working groups across classification levels, preparing executive-level briefings and readiness reports, and maintaining the classified information systems and records that keep a major operational directorate running.

This role demands someone with substantial military background: at least 20 years of service at senior enlisted, warrant, or commissioned officer rank, plus an active TS/SCI clearance and a bachelor's degree with Command and Staff College completion. Beyond the formal requirements, it suits someone who has actually supported operational commands, developed products for flag officers, and managed the sensitive coordination that happens at that level. You need strong writing and editing skills, fluency with Microsoft Office and secure video systems, and the judgment and discretion to handle confidential discussions and materials appropriately.

The position is based in Honolulu and requires in-office work. ANSER, a nonprofit focused on national security, values collaboration and integrity, and measures success by impact rather than profit.
