About this role
BRPH's Orlando office is seeking a junior mechanical engineer to join its HVAC design team in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment. You'll work alongside senior engineers and peers on projects across education, entertainment, hospitality, and commercial sectors, contributing to the full design lifecycle from load and system calculations through construction administration. The role emphasizes both technical depth and teamwork—you'll develop 3D building models in Revit, perform energy modeling, coordinate with other disciplines, conduct site visits, and review construction documents, all while learning codes, standards, and best practices under direct supervision.
To succeed here, you'll need a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least two years of mechanical engineering experience. Proficiency with Revit, Microsoft Office, and load calculation software like Trane Trace is essential; familiarity with energy modeling tools, Florida Energy Code requirements, and coordination software like Naviswork is expected or will be developed on the job. Beyond technical skills, the position demands strong communication, attention to quality in your own work, and genuine commitment to supporting colleagues and clients professionally.
This is an in-office, full-time role in Orlando's Baldwin Park district. It suits engineers who want hands-on experience in a technically rigorous setting where mentorship and professional development are built into the culture, and who are ready to move beyond entry-level work with real project responsibility.
