Launch your career in water and wastewater engineering with our team as a Water/Wastewater Engineer, Early Career. In this role, you'll learn from experienced engineers while contributing to the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater pipeline systems and infrastructure. You'll gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle as part of a collaborative team that values fresh perspectives and innovative thinking from engineers at all career stages.

What You’ll Do

  • Support senior engineers in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater systems
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates
  • Analyze existing water/wastewater systems to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Design water/wastewater and utility infrastructure, including CAD drafting
  • Provide technical support during construction, including shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, site visits, and field inspections
  • Assist in developing solutions that meet environmental, regulatory, and budgetary requirements
  • Prepare GIS exhibits and manage field data in Arc GIS software

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited program required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • 0 - 2 years in water/wastewater collection, distribution, pumping systems, storage, treatment, and utility infrastructure design
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit is a plus
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
