About this role

Indie Campers is hiring a Rental Service Agent for its Auckland depot, a hands-on role that sits at the centre of the customer experience. You'll manage the full lifecycle of campervan rentals—from handling reservations and welcoming guests through check-in and check-out, to processing payments and resolving issues. The role also includes fleet maintenance and upkeep, so you'll need to be comfortable assessing the condition of vehicles and flagging repair needs.

This position suits someone with a background in tourism, hospitality, retail, or car rental who genuinely enjoys working with people and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly. You'll need to be fluent in English, hold a valid New Zealand driver's licence, be comfortable driving campervans, and be willing to work weekends and public holidays. Problem-solving, organisation, and reliability are essential—you're the person guests interact with first, and you're responsible for ensuring both the customer experience and the fleet are in good shape.

Indie Campers offers performance and referral bonuses, free road trips to experience their vehicles, and career development pathways within field operations or potential moves to their offices in Lisbon, Mexico City, or Manila. The role is full-time and based in-office at the East Tāmaki depot.
