About this role
Easygo's Compliance team is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to architect and lead the technical strategy behind systems handling data-driven events at scale across their global entertainment platforms—Stake, KICK, and Twist Gaming. You'd own the design of scalable, high-performance solutions while actively coding, optimizing existing systems for performance and reliability, and mentoring engineers on the team. This is a hands-on leadership role that demands both strategic vision and technical depth.
The position requires 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in scalable system design, modern tech stacks (JavaScript, Go, Docker, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), and event-driven architectures including WebSockets and Pub/Sub patterns. You'll need strong architectural thinking, proven ability to guide teams, and the analytical mindset to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience as a Staff or Principal Engineer at a large-scale product company, plus familiarity with CI/CD automation, would strengthen your candidacy.
You'd be based in Easygo's Sydney office working full-time alongside Australia's top engineering talent, with exposure to products operating at massive scale and frequency. The role comes with learning and development access, EAP benefits, and a collaborative engineering culture that prioritizes growth and mentorship.
