About this role

Kao Corporation's Cincinnati office is seeking a Customer Business Manager to own the P&L and strategic growth of the Target account. This role sits at the intersection of retail partnership and internal execution, requiring someone who can translate Kao's brand strategy into concrete plans that drive profitable sales while maintaining strong customer relationships. You'll manage forecasting and budget allocation, analyze performance data to identify growth opportunities, and make recommendations on pricing, promotions, and assortment—then shepherd those decisions through cross-functional teams to successful launch.

The position demands both analytical rigor and stakeholder influence. You'll need to diagnose why performance gaps occur, build financial cases for your recommendations, and push back on retailer requests when data suggests a different path. Equally important is your ability to navigate relationships across Target's organization, understand their priorities, and advocate for Kao's innovations and capabilities in ways that resonate with their business objectives.

This is a full-time, in-office role in Cincinnati offering a base salary of $100,000–$120,000 plus bonus, with healthcare and 401(k) matching available from day one and 36 total days off annually. It suits someone with strong financial acumen, comfort with data-driven decision-making, and proven success managing complex stakeholder relationships in a retail or B2B environment.
