About this role
George P. Johnson Experience Marketing is seeking a Fabrication Producer to manage the fabrication lifecycle for large-scale experiential projects, primarily serving as the central coordination point between creative teams, project managers, and production facilities. Based in Nashville with full-time, in-office requirements, this role demands someone who can own projects from kickoff through post-show reconciliation—leading scope discussions with clients and creative teams, tracking budgets and change orders, identifying fabrication opportunities, and maintaining visibility across multiple concurrent initiatives. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, Integrated Production, and logistics teams to ensure fabrication timelines, budgets, and quality standards align with client goals.
The work spans distinct phases: during kickoff and estimating, you'll facilitate meetings, document scope, populate estimates, and communicate fabrication opportunities to stakeholders. Once fabrication begins, you'll coordinate deliverables across facilities, monitor PM bandwidth, and redirect work as needed. Through shipping, installation, and post-show phases, you'll serve as the on-site escalation point, manage supervisor scheduling, oversee inventory procedures, and reconcile budgets. Success requires strong organizational skills, the ability to spot overlooked details, decisive problem-solving under pressure, and comfort with ambiguity—you'll need to ask clarifying questions, maintain meticulous documentation, and drive solutions even within tight budget constraints.
This role suits someone who thrives in fast-paced, matrix environments with competing priorities and enjoys being the connective tissue across multiple teams and disciplines. You should be comfortable attending meetings regularly, managing logistics coordination, and being present on-site during critical project phases.
