Description
We are seeking a detail‑oriented, strategic, and highly collaborative Governance and Taxonomy Specialist to join our Ecosystem Readiness & Delivery Enablement Team. This role sits at the intersection of data governance, taxonomy design, content migration, customer insights, and digital ecosystem modernization. Working closely with the Technical Engagement Manager & Data PM and the Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will serve as a critical integrator—ensuring governance standards, taxonomy structures, and data practices are consistently applied, thoroughly tested, and ready to scale as our enterprise transitions through key phases a data modernization initiative.
The work:
This is not a passive policy-writing role. You will actively operationalize governance recommendations, pilot new approaches, implement automation and AI-driven workflows, and ensure that foundational governance protocols are strong enough to support future phases of work and potential onboarding of external support vendors. You will play a pivotal part in stabilizing and maturing the digital ecosystem, ensuring it is compliant, user-informed, and technically sound. You will implement and contribute to data, website design, and security governance standards for the foundational phase of a data modernization initiative as part of the broader uniform governance program. You will support the establishment of initial governance processes, documentation, and compliance frameworks needed to anchor long-term ecosystem stability. You will continually support improvements in information architecture, navigation, search, and content/data migration efforts. You will define foundational data management policies and processes, partnering with stakeholders to develop, pilot, and implement these structures across the ecosystem. You will develop and update documentation, including process guides, design artifacts, onboarding materials, and governance protocols, to reflect enhancements, new features, or policy changes.
Here’s what you need:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data governance, taxonomy design, content migration, customer insights, and/or digital ecosystem modernization
- Experience with taxonomy management, data governance, or information architecture
- Adept at synthesizing customer insights and applying them to structural improvements
- Ability to define baseline taxonomy protocols associated with innovation activities, such as optimizing content for Generative AI search experiences and other emerging technologies
- Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to refine and support data onboarding and governance processes.
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with modern Data Catalog tools such as Databricks, Atlassian, Collibra, and Immuta
- Experience owning development of formal enterprise documentation and training materials
- Experience enforcing standard data governance policies in an enterprise program
