Description
Major responsibilities include designing, configuring, developing, and implementing baseline and custom applications and enhancements in ServiceNow, including the CMDB, and helping maintain stability of the overall platform by ensuring the appropriate design and development standards are always used.

- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $180,000–$200,000 annually, based on experience level.
- Clearance Requirement: U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements. Top Secret clearance is required. Candidates holding an active Secret clearance are encouraged to apply, and LightFeather sponsors an upgrade to Top Secret for the right candidate.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow configurations, custom applications, and automated workflows
- Implement the CMDB, including CI class and data model design aligned to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Discovery configuration, and identification and reconciliation rules
- Establish and maintain CMDB health, data quality, and governance practices
- Build advanced Service Catalog items, including catalog client scripts, UI policies, and Flow Designer automations
- Support ongoing improvements and optimization of core ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge Management)
- Design and implement integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP web services and IntegrationHub
- Participate in client calls and technical design discussions, translating business requirements into clear, actionable solutions
- Execute unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure high-quality, zero-defect deployments
- Maintain update sets, release documentation, and technical design records
- Identify risks, dependencies, and design gaps early in the development lifecycle
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret or higher clearance
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and configuring on the ServiceNow platform
- Experience implementing or maturing a CMDB, including Discovery and data reconciliation
- Strong scripting ability (server-side and client-side JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes)
- Experience building Service Catalog items, workflows, and integrations
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Experience working on project teams that leverage Agile/Scrum
- Demonstrable ability to communicate and listen well with business and technical people, regardless of title, with good self-awareness

- ServiceNow CIS certification, especially CIS-Discovery, CIS-ITSM, or CIS-Service Mapping
- Prior experience in federal or defense contracting environments, particularly in classified, air-gapped, or otherwise isolated networks
- Familiarity with federal security and compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, STIGs)
- Experience with release coordination, version control, and automated testing strategies, including the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF)
