About this role

The curriculum is delivered by Maven's own traders and emphasizes both technical foundations and emerging AI technologies. After training, you'll move to the Amsterdam office for hands-on desk placements, beginning live trading within your first eight weeks and progressively taking on greater responsibility.
The role suits analytically strong final-year undergraduates, master's students or recent graduates with solid numeracy and statistics knowledge. You should be genuinely curious about financial markets, entrepreneurial in your thinking, and able to synthesize complex information quickly. Maven invests deliberately in a small cohort rather than hiring large classes—most of the firm's heads of trading desks came through this programme, some within two and a half years. You'll receive ongoing coaching from the Trading and Emerging Talent teams, a dedicated buddy for day-to-day support, and access to an annual learning budget.
The position is full-time and in-office in Amsterdam, starting September 6, 2027. Benefits include 25 days' annual leave plus eight Dutch bank holidays, enhanced family-friendly policies, pension contributions, an Employee Assistance Programme, and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
