About this role

Velocity Electronics is looking for a Quality Inspector to join their Amsterdam team on a contract basis, working in-office. The role centers on hands-on inspection and testing of electronic components using advanced tools and methodologies to verify they meet manufacturer and customer specifications. You'll generate accurate inspection data, document findings in the ERP system, capture photographic evidence, and coordinate with Quality Managers to ensure all testing is completed on schedule and to standard.

The position calls for at least one year of experience handling electronic components or working in quality assurance, with demonstrated knowledge of Electrostatic Protected Areas. You'll need solid proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), basic photography and photo editing skills, and ideally some familiarity with failure analysis techniques like decapsulation or solder testing. A high school diploma is the minimum requirement, though a four-year degree is preferred. Beyond technical competencies, you'll communicate inspection results across teams—Quality Managers, Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics—so clear communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are important.

This role suits someone who takes pride in precision work and wants to directly impact operational excellence at a leading independent electronics distributor. If you're detail-oriented, comfortable with instrumentation and documentation, and ready to own your quality outcomes, this could be a good fit.
