About this role

Keeley Construction's summer safety internship offers hands-on exposure to construction safety operations across multiple functions. You'll work alongside the Project Safety Manager and Superintendent on jobsite inspections, assist in coordinating safety committees and toolbox meetings, review subcontractor compliance programs, and help maintain safety documentation including incident investigations and training records. The role balances independent work with team collaboration, giving you insight into how safety culture operates in a construction environment.

This internship suits someone pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, or a related field who is organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in learning the discipline. You should be comfortable asking questions, communicating clearly both in writing and verbally, and managing multiple tasks. The position is based in St. Louis and requires in-office presence for the summer of 2027. Keeley emphasizes a supportive culture and career development, positioning this as a potential entry point into the company rather than a one-off summer job.
