About this role
At 42 Bar and Table, you'd be the first and last impression guests have of an award-winning restaurant that operates seven days a week with consistently high ratings. The role centers on hospitality fundamentals: greeting diners warmly upon arrival, managing the wait list during busy periods, handling reservations and takeout orders by phone, and ensuring departing guests leave with a positive memory. Beyond seating, you'd support the broader restaurant operation by clearing and setting tables, ringing up orders, refilling beverages, and maintaining clean work areas—the kind of varied, hands-on work that keeps a busy establishment running smoothly.
This is a part-time, in-office position suited for someone comfortable in a fast-paced environment who can juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. You'll need a high school diploma or equivalent, one to two years of customer service experience, and the ability to stay organized and courteous even during rushes. One specific requirement: you must have a Real ID or passport, as the restaurant is located within the Clinton Presidential Center building, which requires NARA building access.
