About this role

Olsson's Traffic & Technology team is looking for a civil engineering intern to contribute to real transportation projects in their Oklahoma City office. You'll spend your time on hands-on design work using CAD—creating traffic signal plans, roundabout designs, pavement markings, and signing layouts. The role also involves traffic operations analysis, safety studies, and pedestrian circulation work, with potential site visits to observe projects in the field.

This internship suits someone pursuing a civil engineering degree who already has working knowledge of AutoCAD and solid proficiency with Microsoft Office. Beyond technical skills, Olsson values collaborative problem-solvers with strong attention to detail and genuine interest in work that affects communities. You should be comfortable taking ownership of assignments and communicating clearly within a team environment.

As an intern at Olsson, you'll gain exposure to how traffic engineering translates from classroom concepts into real-world solutions. The firm emphasizes people-centered culture and professional growth, and offers interns the chance to build meaningful experience while working on projects that matter.
