Job Description -
- 10+ years of experience in banking, payments, fintech or financial services, with substantial experience as a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst or Product Manager.
- Strong domain knowledge in fraud prevention and/or financial crime, with practical exposure to one or more of payment fraud, scams, account takeover, AML transaction monitoring, sanctions, KYC/CDD/EDD or investigations.
- Demonstrated ownership of a product roadmap and backlog from discovery through implementation and optimisation.
- Strong requirements analysis, process mapping, user-story development and acceptance-criteria writing skills.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to use data and operational insight to make prioritisation and control-design decisions.
- Understanding of APIs, event-driven integrations, data flows and modern banking technology environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation and executive communication skills.

Capco is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead initiatives in fraud prevention and financial crime for major banking and fintech clients. You'll need at least 10 years in banking, payments, or financial services, with substantial prior experience as a Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst, or Product Manager. Deep domain expertise in areas like payment fraud, AML transaction monitoring, sanctions, KYC processes, or investigations is essential—this isn't an entry point into financial crime, but a role for someone with hands-on exposure to these domains.
The work involves owning product roadmaps and backlogs end-to-end, from discovery through implementation and optimization. You'll translate complex requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, manage stakeholders across client organizations, and use data to drive prioritization and control design. Comfort with Agile delivery, Jira, and Confluence is expected, along with a working understanding of APIs, event-driven integrations, and modern banking technology stacks. Strong facilitation and executive communication skills matter here—you'll be bridging technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
