About this role
EverQuote's Enterprise Analytics team sits at the intersection of customer success and data-driven strategy in the insurance marketplace. As Director, you'd lead analysts responsible for translating the needs of major insurance carriers into optimized acquisition campaigns, working directly with customers while coordinating across Business Development, Data Science, Engineering, and Product Management. This is a hands-on leadership role—you'd manage and develop your team while also executing analytical work yourself, using SQL and experimentation methods to uncover business opportunities and shape carrier bidding strategies.
The position requires 8+ years of progressive analytics experience with a quantitative focus, a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent demonstrated ability, and proven success managing people. You'll need strong SQL skills (Snowflake experience is a plus), solid grounding in experimental design, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and executive stakeholders. Direct B2B customer engagement is central to the role, so comfort influencing and collaborating across organizational boundaries is essential. Insurance, performance marketing, or marketplace experience would be valuable but isn't required.
Based in Cambridge, the role is hybrid with three in-office days per week (Tuesday through Thursday). You'd report to the Head of Analytics and help shape strategy across the broader Analytics function. The salary range is $160,900–$185,000, with variable compensation, equity, and benefits available. Note that this position does not offer immigration sponsorship and requires current, unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
