A Snapshot
As the Solutions Engineer reporting to the Solutions Engineering Manager, you will work closely with the rest of the Technology – Technical Solutions team, as well as the Head of Customer Success, making your mark in a number of ways:

Support the team by learning and understanding the customer and market requirements, ensuring business alignment

Help to drive the delivery of the customer solution and product through the complete data centre cycle

Support translating customer requirements into key design projects of our data centres in the India region and in preparing presentations to customers and executives.
Your Day to Day

Provide support to the Solutions Team in the RFP proposal and deliver key technical / engineering documents

Provide support in production of key technical and sales collateral – High Level M&E Schematic and Technical presentation materials

Assist in high-level space planning and engineering solutions for our customers

Involved in pioneering various engineering solutions relating to design, calculations and other engineering aspects

Assist in the development of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Support in preparing pitch decks, presentation packs and collateral for customers and executives

Support the connectivity team working with carriers in the region
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE)
- 5–8 years’ relevant experience, ideally within data centres, critical infrastructure, engineering consulting or technical solutions.
- Fluent in MS Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) and good knowledge of BlueBeam and Basic AutoCad
- Basic knowledge of CFD is an advantage but not required – this only applies if you’re mechanical trade
- Analytical mindset

About this role
AirTrunk is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its rapidly expanding hyperscale data centre operations in the India region. You would support the Solutions Engineering team in translating customer requirements into practical data centre designs and technical solutions, working across the complete project lifecycle from RFP responses through to customer delivery. This role sits within the Technology – Technical Solutions function and requires close collaboration with customer success leadership and internal teams to ensure technical designs align with business objectives.
Your day-to-day work will involve producing technical documentation and engineering collateral, developing high-level mechanical and electrical schematics, conducting space planning assessments, and supporting CFD modelling and design calculations. You'll also prepare pitch materials and presentations for customers and executives, and coordinate with the connectivity team on carrier relationships across the region. The role demands strong technical writing and communication skills, combined with proficiency in MS Office, BlueBeam, and basic AutoCAD.
You'll need a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electrical and Computer Engineering, plus five to eight years of relevant experience ideally in data centres, critical infrastructure, or technical solutions roles. An analytical mindset, proactive approach, and willingness to learn are essential. Basic CFD knowledge is advantageous for mechanical engineering backgrounds but not required. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Mumbai.
