About this role
Ogilvy's Social-Labs team in Cape Town is looking for a motion designer and editor to create video content for major global brands' paid media campaigns. You'd work in a small, collaborative team of six to seven people, reporting to Creative Leads and handling everything from TV campaign edits to platform-specific social content. The role centers on using After Effects and Premiere to produce motion design that adapts across digital formats, with exposure to beauty brands and the potential to learn Celtra if you haven't used it already.
To succeed here, you'll need solid experience with motion design and video editing at an agency or similar environment, backed by a strong portfolio. Proficiency in Adobe's creative suite is non-negotiable, along with a working knowledge of how video performs on different digital and social platforms. The role values attention to detail, visual storytelling, and the ability to work fast without losing quality—you'll be juggling multiple projects in a high-energy setting while staying true to brand guidelines and client expectations.
This is an in-office position in Cape Town, best suited for someone who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced creative environments and wants hands-on experience with recognized global brands. If you have prior work with consumer goods or beauty brands, that's a meaningful advantage.
