WHAT L.A. HYDRO-JET NEEDS FROM YOU:

  • 5 years of commercial/industrial plumbing experience REQUIRED.
  • Prior experience managing a crew or serving as a foreman is strongly preferred.
  • Inspect and/or diagnose sewer lines for repair or pipe replacement. 
  • Write and present bids to customers for plumbing repair work.
  • Install cleanouts, installations, pipes, and floor drains.  Repairs plumbing fixtures and pipes.  Conducts spot repairs and performs CCTV sewer inspections.
  • When applicable, cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.  Cuts and threads pipes.  Locates and marks position of pipes and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors.
  • Assists drain and/or jetting technicians with service work as necessary.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move or carry up to 100 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move more than 125 pounds and regularly push and pull up to 120 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee’s regularly repetitive actions include stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arm, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit, climb, or balance while holding heavy material, talk and hear.  Position requires working overtime and weekends.

L.A. Hydro-Jet and Rooter Service determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay for this position could range from $28 - $42 per hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
