About this role
Sem-Sol, a GRVTY company, is looking for a Systems Engineer to strengthen its position in defense contracting by bridging internal capabilities with Department of Defense requirements. You'd work directly with the chief engineer and program managers to translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications, managing the full systems engineering lifecycle from requirements generation through verification and validation. This means owning interface control documents, test plans, configuration management, and detailed trade studies while serving as a technical liaison between internal teams and external customers like DoD and large aerospace firms.
The role demands someone with at least five years of engineering experience, a bachelor's degree, and an active or obtainable security clearance. You'll need strong communication skills to navigate competing priorities across multiple projects and a solid foundation in both hardware and software development, integration, and testing. Beyond technical competence, you'd be formalizing and elevating Sem-Sol's systems engineering processes and tools—essentially helping the organization mature its approach to meet larger contract demands.
If you have a background in DoD programs, systems engineering certification, or familiarity with tools like CATIA and configuration management processes, you'd be well-positioned. The position is based in Albuquerque and requires in-office work.
