About this role

Morrison-Maierle's Survey Group is looking for a Land Survey Technician to support a range of engineering, boundary, and construction projects across the Boise area. You'll work in the field under the direction of a Professional Land Surveyor, collecting spatial data using equipment like Trimble GNSS systems, robotic total stations, and drones, then processing that data in Trimble Business Center to produce maps and reports. The work spans traditional boundary surveys and construction staking through to newer remote sensing techniques with small unmanned aircraft and 3D laser scanning.

The role suits someone with an associate or bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or engineering (with survey coursework), ideally with 0–3+ years of survey experience and LSI licensure or a willingness to pursue it. You should be comfortable with AutoCAD or Civil 3D, have hands-on experience with Trimble systems where possible, and be ready to work outdoors in variable weather while handling equipment up to 50 pounds. Strong communication skills and a valid driver's license are essential, as occasional travel to remote sites is required.

As a 100% employee-owned firm, Morrison-Maierle offers competitive base pay ($55,000–$90,000 depending on experience), annual bonuses, full ESOP participation with company-paid contributions, 90% company-paid health premiums, paid parental leave, flexible scheduling, and a collaborative culture recognized as a top workplace. This is a full-time, in-office position in Boise with potential relocation assistance.
