- You have a hands-on mindset and stay calm when things get messy
- You bring confidence in coordinating contractors and guiding a team

About this role
The Social Hub is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the technical operations of their Amsterdam property—a hybrid hospitality space that combines hotel rooms, coworking areas, student accommodation, a gym, rooftop bar, and event spaces. You'd lead a small maintenance team, coordinate with external contractors, and be the first responder when technical issues arise across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators and building systems. The role also involves tracking work orders in Salesforce, managing budgets and invoices, monitoring utility consumption, and ensuring compliance with safety and fire protection standards in collaboration with the Regional Property Manager.
This position suits someone with three to five years of maintenance management experience, ideally in hospitality, who combines technical knowledge with strong organizational and communication skills. You'll need a calm, problem-solving approach to handle the unpredictability of building operations, confidence managing both teams and contractors, and basic competency across multiple building systems. Dutch language skills are required; English is a bonus.
The Social Hub positions itself as a B Corp–certified innovator in hospitality with a stated commitment to fair pay, workplace culture, and meaningful impact. The role offers growth potential within a multi-property European company, staff discounts across all locations, and a collaborative work environment. This is an in-office position based in Amsterdam.
