About this role

ICG Medical is seeking a Commissioner Liaison Officer to build and maintain relationships with UK healthcare commissioning bodies on behalf of their Complex Care services. Based in Cape Town but working entirely with UK stakeholders, you'll be the first point of contact responsible for identifying commissioning opportunities, researching target organisations, and securing qualified meetings between decision-makers at Integrated Care Boards, Local Authorities, and private case managers and the internal Business Development team.

The role blends research, outreach, and relationship management. You'll conduct market intelligence on commissioning developments, contact senior stakeholders via phone, email and LinkedIn, qualify prospects against business criteria, and coordinate diaries to ensure meetings happen smoothly. Success depends on accurate CRM record-keeping, clear communication of organisational capacity to commissioners, and the ability to represent ICG Medical professionally as a trusted partner in the healthcare sector.

You'll need proven experience in appointment setting, lead generation, or business development support—ideally with exposure to both decision-makers and influencers. Strong organisational skills, CRM proficiency, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are essential. This role works under the Service Development Manager and collaborates closely with Business Development, Marketing, and Operations teams to feed the sales pipeline and support strategic priorities.
