Description
ABOUT SINGLESTORE & THE TEAM
SingleStore is the Intelligence Platform powering real-time data, analytics, and AI experiences at enterprise scale. Internally, we practice what we preach through our AI & Automation Center of Excellence (CoE): a unit that partners with cross-functional teams to identify high-friction business problems and solve them using AI, automation, and data. As a Senior AI & Automation Manager, you will be overseeing the AI CoE and working directly with executive leadership to tackle the company's highest-impact problems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
● AI agent development: Building and refining AI agents (e.g., Glean or custom agents) to automate knowledge retrieval, extract intelligence, and support decisions.
● Automation workflows: Design and build automation pipelines to eliminate manual and repetitive processes.
● Data analysis & pipelines: Write Python and SQL to extract, transform, and analyse data from internal systems (Salesforce, data warehouse, etc.), including building scoring and prioritization models.
● Stakeholder discovery: Engage with cross-functional teams to understand pain points, document requirements, and translate them into structured problem statements.
● Process improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies, propose solutions, and drive implementation end-to-end with strong ownership.
● Project management: Independently scope, sequence, and deliver technical projects.
● Enablement/Team management: Guide or mentor junior team members on technical execution, and act as the go-to resource for AI/automation capability across the org

About this role
SingleStore's AI & Automation Center of Excellence is looking for a hands-on technical leader to drive high-impact AI and automation initiatives across the company. In this role, you'll own the full lifecycle of projects—from discovering pain points with cross-functional teams to building AI agents, automation workflows, and data pipelines that solve real business problems. You'll work directly with executive leadership, write production Python and SQL code, and mentor junior team members as the organization's go-to resource for AI and automation capability.
This is a blend of technical execution and leadership. You'll spend time building (designing automation pipelines, developing AI agents with frameworks like Glean, writing data extraction and transformation scripts) and time unblocking others (translating ambiguous business requirements into structured problems, guiding team members, presenting findings to stakeholders). The role demands strong systems thinking—you need to see how data flows through internal systems like Salesforce and your data warehouse, and anticipate scalability and downstream impact, not just immediate outputs.
You should have 4–6 years in AI, automation, data science, or analytics, with solid Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL skills. Hands-on experience with automation tools (n8n, Zapier, Make, Workato) and real-world AI agent development is essential. Experience with API integrations, Claude Code or similar AI coding assistants, and SaaS environments is a plus. Above all, you need high ownership, strong problem-solving instincts, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams. This is an in-office role in Bengaluru.
