About this role
MedElite Group is looking for a Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver respiratory care in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities across the Atlanta area. You'll manage patients with conditions like asthma, COPD, and pneumonia—conducting assessments, ordering diagnostics like spirometry and chest X-rays, prescribing treatments, and adjusting care plans based on patient progress. The role involves educating residents and families on disease management and medication adherence, working as part of a collaborative clinical team focused on senior care.
This position requires an active NP, PA, or physician license with DEA credentials and current BLS certification. You'll need at least six months of long-term care experience and ideally one year in pulmonology or respiratory care. A Master's degree in Nursing (for NPs) is required. The job demands 100% local travel within Atlanta, so you should be comfortable moving between facilities and managing a physically active schedule that includes prolonged standing, walking, and occasional patient lifting.
The salary range is $150,000–$200,000 annually, with standard benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and malpractice coverage. The employer also offers tuition reimbursement and a paid subscription to UpToDate. If you have experience with electronic medical records systems like Sigma or Visual, that's valued, though training is provided.
