About this role

MedElite Group is seeking an Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver specialized care in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities across the Houston area. Working part-time, you'll assess and treat residents with endocrine disorders—diabetes, thyroid conditions, and hormone-related issues—while coordinating with an interdisciplinary team. The role involves conducting patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and adjusting care as residents' conditions evolve. You'll also provide counseling to residents and families, with an emphasis on person-centered care in a nursing home environment.

This position requires an active, unrestricted NP or PA license, DEA licensure, and BLS/BCLS certification, along with a Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program. You'll need at least six months of long-term care experience and one year in endocrinology specifically. The role is in-office and physically demanding—you should be comfortable standing and walking six to eight hours daily and lifting a minimum of 20 pounds. EMR experience (particularly with Sigma, Visual, or PCC systems) is preferred, though training is provided.

The salary ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 annually, with paid time off and malpractice insurance included. This is a good fit if you're drawn to geriatric care, value collaboration over autonomy, and want part-time work that allows meaningful patient impact without full-time commitment.
