About this role
ARCO's IT internship places you directly into their support and cybersecurity operations at their Brentwood office, working across both reactive support and proactive threat detection. You'll handle the full spectrum of IT work—fielding support tickets, provisioning devices, imaging workstations, and managing account creation—while also diving into security analysis by researching email threats, reviewing suspicious communications, and learning to identify threats through log analysis. This blend of hands-on technical work and security-focused responsibilities gives you exposure to how enterprise IT actually runs.
The role expects you to be enrolled in an IT, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity program with at least one server or networking class completed. You'll need to be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating across departments. Proficiency with Office 365 is preferred. ARCO offers flexible scheduling during the school year and full-time hours in summer, medical/dental/vision coverage for internships lasting at least three months full-time, and a competitive hourly rate. The company emphasizes hands-on learning in a real enterprise environment and has a track record as a Best Place to Work.
This internship suits someone who wants practical experience in both IT support fundamentals and cybersecurity fundamentals without waiting for a full-time role to start. If you're energized by problem-solving and want to understand how security threats are actually handled in a working organization, this is a solid entry point.
