About this role
Judi Health is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to lead enterprise integration work on their claims processing platform. You'd own large, client-facing projects from architecture through production, working with product teams and major healthcare clients to design and implement API integrations, data migrations, and system solutions. This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and business impact—you'll be making architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, and representing the engineering team to stakeholders while directly influencing client outcomes.
The technical foundation requires seven-plus years of backend development with strong Python (Flask/SQLAlchemy) and TypeScript skills, advanced PostgreSQL expertise, and hands-on experience building scalable cloud applications on AWS using serverless patterns like Lambda and ECS. You should be comfortable with microservices architecture, infrastructure-as-code approaches (Terraform), and security best practices. Experience with distributed systems, testing frameworks like Playwright, and Linux tooling rounds out the profile. Prior exposure to pharmacy benefits or health tech is valued but not required.
This is an in-office role in Charlotte with a salary range of $116,400–$175,000. The position demands someone who can self-manage complex deliverables, collaborate across internal and external teams, and think like a technical leader—it's suited to developers who want hands-on involvement in system design and architecture rather than pure management, and who are energized by solving real-world scalability and integration challenges in healthcare.
