About this role
Think Academy Silicon Valley is hiring part-time math instructors for their fall extracurricular programs serving PreK and lower elementary students in the San Jose and Cupertino area. The role involves teaching small groups of 8–10 students using the academy's established curriculum, along with lesson preparation, training, and progress reporting. You'll work roughly 13–16 hours per week total (8–10 teaching hours plus prep and administrative time) between September and November, with classes scheduled on weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
The position suits educators with classroom experience—current or former public and private school teachers are especially encouraged to apply. You must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work fully on-site.
Compensation ranges from $40–$70 per teaching hour depending on your experience level, with non-teaching hours (training, meetings, prep) paid at $20–$22/hour. The role offers structured curriculum support, professional training, and the potential to expand into additional hours or longer-term positions as you build your track record with the organization.
