About this role
LS3P's Charlotte office is building a government-focused interior design practice across the Southeast, and this role offers the chance to shape civic spaces—from municipal buildings and courthouses to military facilities and federal projects. You'd work on complex public-sector assignments from concept through construction, producing technical documents in Revit, creating client presentations, and coordinating across disciplines to deliver projects that strengthen communities. The work spans traditional design services and design-build partnerships, meaning you'd experience varied delivery methods and fast-paced execution alongside experienced mentors.
This position suits an interior designer with at least six years of architecture firm experience and a solid grasp of government procurement and design processes. You'll need strong Revit proficiency, rendering skills (Sketchup, Lumion, or Enscape), and ideally NCIDQ certification or LEED accreditation. A background in civic, justice, public safety, or municipal projects is essential—this isn't general commercial interiors work, but specialized knowledge of how public facilities function and what they demand.
Beyond the day-to-day design work, LS3P emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth across its twelve-office network. The firm offers a professional development allowance, leadership training, and involvement in community service. The role is in-office in Charlotte and requires a portfolio demonstrating your Revit and rendering abilities alongside your cover letter and resume.
