Job Summary
Responsible for establishing and maintaining overall Client relationships on assigned book of business. Grow existing book of business through new lines of coverage and new business opportunities. Provide Risk Management expertise to Clients and provide direction and leadership to account Service Team. Leverage expertise servicing clients in the Real Estate and Construction industries in New York market.
Principal Responsibilities
- Manage and retain existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book of business, where appropriate.
- Spends approximately 35% of time outside with Clients and Underwriters.
- Establish, implement and monitor Service Plan for each Client.
- Communicates with Producers and Senior Account Executive on significant issues/concerns impacting their accounts.
- Assist in establishing Loss Control and Claims activity for all Clients. Retain overall responsibility for the implementation of these services.
- Provide leadership mentoring and training to Account Manager, Account Analyst and Administrative Assistant on the Team.
- Maintains relationship with all levels of Client’s decision makers in order to effectively consult and influence the Client on insurance issues.
- Prepare Client Renewal Strategy and ensure they agree with Client’s requests/requirements.
- Managing overall Insurance renewal process including preparation and presentation of Marketing Submission, Renewal Proposals, Binders and Stewardship Reports.
- Participate on various Committees as assigned.
- Promote teamwork and commitment to department/corporate goals.
- Provide Client Services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Other Functions
- Responsible for overseeing invoicing of current and new Clients within established guidelines. Manage accounts receivables within established guidelines.
- Responsible for basic knowledge of Document Management System (WorkSmart) and Agency Management System (Sagitta) to manage Clients and Team.
- Adheres to Company Policies and other guidelines.
- Remains current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages and technology.
- Attend various internal and external meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Ten years minimum of commercial, multi-line property and casualty brokerage experience
- Experience servicing the real estate and construction industries is preferred
- Independent, flexible, self-starter who can multi-task and delegate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; Word and Excel encouraged.
- Experience with Sagitta or other large agency management system preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, financial, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organization and client service skills.
- Previous experience in insurance marketing.
- Strong leadership skills. Ability to promote teamwork within a unit.
- Develop and manage key relationships at all levels within the Conner Strong organization along with outside clients and carriers.
Compensation:
Salary for this position ranges from $175,000.00 - $240,000.00. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
Qualifying positions will also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, such as participation in family medical and dental insurance programs, 401K plan, and PTO.
Specialized Knowledge and/or Licenses
Property & Casualty Producer License
ARM, CIC, CPCU and other specialized designations as appropriate
Working Conditions
Office environment with moderate noise level; able to work flexible hours and travel to other Conner Strong offices and Client work sites as needed.

$100,000
Typical range: $60,000 to $140,000
