About this role
Mindgruve, a top-tier digital agency recognized for rapid growth and expertise across marketing and digital transformation, is looking for an Associate Director to lead and expand its paid social practice. You'd manage a team of 2–4 paid social professionals while serving as the strategic lead on client accounts, owning full-funnel campaign strategy across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and secondary platforms like Reddit, Snapchat, and X. The role splits roughly evenly between senior client-facing work—translating business goals into integrated paid strategies and presenting insights to executives—and internal team leadership, where you'd mentor managers, ensure delivery quality, and contribute to hiring and onboarding decisions.
The remaining portion of your time focuses on operations and business development: improving processes and training for the paid social team, collaborating with other departments on integrated campaigns, and supporting new business pitches. This is a role suited to someone with 7–9 years of progressive paid social or digital advertising experience who has already managed teams and demonstrated both strategic depth and client communication skills. You'll need hands-on mastery of major platforms and the business acumen to understand agency operations and growth drivers.
The position is based in San Diego and listed as remote-eligible, though Mindgruve emphasizes collaboration in one of its six US office locations where possible. The salary range is $90,000–$100,000, with benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, FSA, life insurance options, and 401(k) matching for full-time employees.
