The Verification Expert inspects footwear, streetwear, and collectibles (including but not limited to textiles, electronics, energy categories) to ensure the products meet the standards and conditions of StockX and are verified. You’ll work closely with our operations and customer service teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
What you’ll do
- Inspect and process footwear, streetwear, and collectibles (including but not limited to textiles, electronics, energy categories) adhering to strict standards of conditions
- Proactively work with site leadership and other team members to identify process improvements.
- Support operations team in inbound and outbound functions as directed and per business needs
- Contribute to the cleanliness standards and processes of the site
- Contribute to and maintain site safety standards
About you
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Sense of urgency to perform tasks to timelines
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work well in teams and good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
Nice to have skills
- 0-3 years of experience in assessing value and risk of streetwear, and collectibles (including but not limited to textiles, electronics, and energy categories)
- Fashion retail background
Location: Onsite - Detroit, MI
Working conditions
- The Verification Center is a warehouse environment with working conditions found in a typical warehouse setting. Closed toed and closed heel shoes are required. Team members in this environment will be required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, turn, and pivot more than 75% of the time.
- May push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds (or 23kg); on occasion a team-lift of up to 100 pounds (or 45kg) and may be required to bend, twist, kneel and squat regularly.
Pursuant to the various pay transparency laws/acts, the base hourly range is $16 per hour. Compensation is dependent on geography and may vary.

About this role
StockX's verification operation in Detroit is looking for someone to inspect and authenticate sneakers, streetwear, and collectibles before they reach customers on the platform. You'll be responsible for evaluating products against strict quality and condition standards, working directly with operations and customer service teams to ensure every item meets the company's requirements. The role involves hands-on assessment across multiple categories—footwear, apparel, electronics, and more—so you need sharp attention to detail and the ability to make consistent judgments under time pressure.
This is a warehouse-based position that's physically demanding: you'll be on your feet more than 75% of the time, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally coordinating team lifts of heavier items.
