Role:  Content Creation Lead

Location:  Mumbai, India

About the role:

You will own all content projects with a Unilever brand from brief through delivery — acting as the single point of accountability between Oliver and the Unilever stakeholders. You’ll provide day-to-day leadership and creative expertise to the onsite creative team at Unilever, ensuring work meets brand standards, business objectives and delivery timelines while maximizing creative impact and efficiency.

What you will be doing:

  • End-to-end project ownership: lead intake, scope, planning, creative direction, production, approvals and postlaunch analysis for all Unilever content projects.
  • Client-facing leadership: be the primary Oliver contact embedded at Unilever — manage expectations, run creative reviews, secure stakeholder buyin and escalate risks proactively.
  • Onsite team leadership: provide hands-on direction, mentorship and performance management for the onsite creative team (writers, designers, producers, freelancers) working at Unilever.
  • Creative stewardship: ensure all content aligns to Unilever brand guidelines, tone of voice, sustainability and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-functional coordination: work closely with Unilever marketing, media, ecommerce, legal, and insights teams plus Oliver’s internal producers and specialist partners to prioritize and sequence work.
  • Production management: oversee budgets, timelines, briefs, shoot planning, agency vendors and post-production to deliver assets on time and on budget.
  • Quality control & governance: implement review gates, asset tracking and approval workflows that satisfy both agency standards and Unilever governance.
  • Performance & iteration: use campaign analytics, A/B testing and consumer insights to optimize content and report impact to both Oliver and Unilever stakeholders.
  • Process & scaling: recommend and implement improvements to onsite workflows, asset libraries and repurposing strategies to increase speed-to-market and ROI.
  • Represent Oliver: advocate for Oliver’s creative approach while adapting to Unilever’s operating model and priorities.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 5+ years’ content/creative experience in an agency environment with 2+ years in a client-facing lead role.
  • Proven track record managing end-to-end projects for large enterprise/FMCG clients (Unilever experience is a strong plus).
  • Experience working embedded/onsite at a client location and navigating enterprise governance.
  • Strong creative direction across formats: short-form and long-form video, social, digital, ecommerce and email.
  • Production experience — briefing, managing shoots, post-production workflows and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to run reviews and present to senior client stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with CMS, Adobe/Premiere/PXD tools, content calendars, project tools (Asana/Notion) and analytics platforms.
  • Organized, decisive, and comfortable balancing multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical

Preferred

  • Experience with Unilever or other major CPG brands.
  • Background in integrated campaigns that combine paid + organic content.
  • Photography/videography or editorial background.

Success metrics / KPIs

  • On-time and on-budget delivery of Unilever content projects.
  • Client satisfaction / relationship health (CSAT, stakeholder NPS).
