About this role

The Trade Desk is looking for a General Manager to lead business development and agency partnerships across the West Region. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—you'd own the full P&L for independent agency relationships, build trust-based partnerships with agency leadership, and translate their feedback into product and commercial priorities. The position requires someone who understands agency economics deeply and can orchestrate cross-functional teams across Sales, Client Services, Marketing, and Product to deliver integrated solutions that strengthen partnerships and drive revenue growth.

You'll need at least 15 years in agency leadership, strategic partnerships, or business development, with proven success influencing senior executives and leading teams through growth and change. The role demands strong commercial acumen—comfort reading agency P&Ls, understanding principal buying models, and identifying profitability levers. Beyond the technical skills, The Trade Desk is looking for a collaborative leader with low ego and high impact: someone who develops talent, builds trust across diverse stakeholders, anticipates industry shifts, and prioritizes outcomes over credit.

This is an in-office role based in Los Angeles with a salary range of $147,200 to $269,900, plus stock-based compensation, variable incentives, and comprehensive benefits. It's suited for someone ready to shape strategy at a global scale while staying deeply embedded in the independent agency ecosystem.
