About this role

Supporting mission-critical geospatial operations for the FBI, this role centers on the administration and optimization of an ArcGIS Enterprise environment running on Microsoft Azure. You would own the full lifecycle of the GIS platform—from infrastructure upgrades like Windows Server 2025 and Azure Application Gateway to day-to-day monitoring, security patching, and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include configuring and maintaining ArcGIS Enterprise components across development, test, and production; administering enterprise geodatabases and relational databases; managing user access and security; and leading platform migrations as needed. You'll be the primary technical point of contact for system-level GIS support, working alongside cartographers, analysts, and IT staff to keep the platform stable and secure.

This position requires a minimum of five years administering ArcGIS Enterprise in production, strong expertise in enterprise geodatabase administration and relational databases like SQL Server or Oracle, and hands-on experience with Windows Server environments. A bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, information technology, or a related field is expected, though relevant military experience may substitute. You should be comfortable with the broader Esri stack, understand GIS security best practices, and have solid troubleshooting and documentation skills.

The role is full-time and on-site in the Washington, D.C. metro area, with a salary range of $150,000 to $210,000 plus a sign-on bonus. Critically, you must hold an active Top Secret clearance and be willing to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph within three months of hire.
