About this role
Tactile Medical is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build and maintain the data foundation that powers reporting and self-service analytics across the organization. Working in-office in Minneapolis, you'll design analytics-ready data models in Microsoft Fabric, apply dimensional modeling patterns to create reusable metrics, and ensure datasets meet business requirements and governance standards. This is hands-on technical work—you'll own the execution of data modeling, validation, and documentation rather than delegating it, working closely with BI developers, ETL engineers, and business stakeholders to translate raw data into trusted analytical assets.
The role suits someone with 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or reporting who is comfortable with SQL, Power Query, and DAX. You should be able to gather requirements directly from business users, validate data quality proactively, and iterate on models based on feedback. Healthcare or durable medical equipment industry experience is preferred, as is a Fabric engineering certification or willingness to earn one within six months. Success here means building datasets that teams actually reuse, ensuring metrics behave consistently across tools, and making analytics accessible and trustworthy to end users.
