Description
Who Connecteam is:
Connecteam is the leading platform for managing deskless teams, trusted by over 80,000 businesses worldwide.
We built Connecteam for real operators - the people running shifts, jobs, and teams across stores and sites. The kind of work that doesn’t happen behind a desk, and doesn’t have time for messy spreadsheets, scattered group chats, or tools that don’t talk to each other.
Connecteam brings daily operations and team communication into one intuitive app - from hiring and scheduling to training, tasks, and day-to-day coordination. It gives teams the clarity and control to run the day, shift after shift, job after job.
Backed by $220M+ from Insight Partners, Stripes, and Tiger Global, Connecteam is rapidly expanding worldwide - empowering frontline teams to work smarter, stay connected, and operate with greater efficiency.
About the Role
As an Expansion SDR (XDR) at Connecteam, you’ll be at the heart of our growth efforts in the AUS market.
This is not a cold outbound role — you’ll work exclusively with existing paying customers, uncovering opportunities to expand their use of Connecteam and ensuring they get maximum value from our platform. Your mission is to turn customer insights into meaningful conversations, and those conversations into high-quality demo bookings for our Account Managers.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively engage with existing customers via calls, email, and social to identify upsell opportunities.
- Prospect into a defined target audience, focusing on accounts with high expansion potential.
- Book qualified demos for the Expansion Account Managers, ensuring smooth handoffs.
- Manage all prospecting activity in HubSpot CRM, keeping records accurate and up to date.
- Partner closely with the Account Management team to share feedback on lead quality, potential new lead sources, and industry/product insights.
- Experiment with outreach strategies to different customer segments (by size, industry, or usage) to drive more opportunities.
- Contribute ideas, insights, and energy to help shape our growing XDR team.
What You’ll Bring
- 1–2 years of experience in a client-facing role (SDR experience is a plus, not required) – MUST!
- Hunger for success, high energy, and an intelligent, positive, proactive attitude
- Strong technical aptitude and the willingness to dive deep into the product
- Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to clearly explain value propositions and tailor messaging to different customer personas
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven startup environment.
- Resilience and adaptability when faced with challenges or rejection.
- Comfortable working AUS business hours: Monday–Friday, hybrid (3-4 days a week in office) - MUST!

About this role
Connecteam is hiring an Expansion SDR to drive growth within their Australian customer base. Unlike traditional cold outreach roles, you'll focus exclusively on existing paying customers, identifying where they can expand their use of the platform and booking qualified demos for the Account Management team. This means working from customer insights and conversations rather than starting from scratch—partnering closely with Account Managers to understand lead quality, test different outreach approaches by segment, and contribute to shaping how the XDR function grows.
You'll need 1–2 years in a client-facing role (SDR experience is a bonus), strong communication skills, and genuine technical curiosity about the product. The role demands someone who's self-driven, resilient, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment. You'll manage all activity in HubSpot, engage customers across calls, email, and social, and work Monday–Friday with 3–4 days a week in the Melbourne office.
This suits someone who wants to build real customer relationships rather than chase cold leads, has the energy to experiment with different strategies, and is ready to grow within a well-funded, people-focused company.
