About this role
At Home Chef's Atlanta production facility, this FSQA Technician role centers on safeguarding food safety and quality across the ready-to-heat product line during second shift (4:00 PM to 12:30 AM). You'll work directly alongside production staff to verify critical control points, inspect finished products against recipe specifications, conduct on-line checks including metal detection and pH analysis, and ensure proper labeling and storage. The position also involves auditing production areas for sanitation compliance, performing environmental monitoring, and enforcing food defense protocols—with immediate escalation of any deviations to leadership.
Beyond inspection duties, you'll assist in training new employees on food safety practices, help investigate issues when they arise, and support production and sanitation teams as needed. The role demands attention to detail, strong communication with coworkers, and the ability to take ownership of both routine checks and unexpected problems. A high school diploma is required; prior food quality experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Home Chef offers medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; paid time off; a 401k program; and flexible spending accounts. The position is based in-office with Saturday and Sunday off, making it suitable for someone seeking consistent weekend availability and a structured second-shift schedule in food manufacturing.
