About this role
Liffey Moher and Blarney Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Amsterdam office on a full-time, in-office basis. You'll own the operation and ongoing development of their multi-cloud container orchestration platform, working across Linux systems administration, infrastructure automation, and cloud deployments. The role sits at the intersection of infrastructure, security, and software delivery—you'll collaborate with developers and solution architects to design and maintain integration solutions, establish automation standards, and ensure production systems remain scalable, reliable, and secure.
This position demands 8–10 years of hands-on DevOps experience specifically in retail and e-commerce environments. You'll need strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD tooling, Linux administration, and at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). Kubernetes and container technologies are expected; scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell is essential. Beyond technical depth, you should be comfortable troubleshooting critical production incidents, implementing security-as-code practices, and conducting performance testing across application tiers.
The role suits someone with a formal degree in computer science or engineering who has built a track record managing complex, highly available systems in fast-paced environments. If you have certifications in cloud platforms, Docker, or Kubernetes, or exposure to microservices and API implementation, those are valued additions. You'll need strong English communication skills and occasional willingness to travel for client meetings.
