ABOUT GOODR

We create and sell active eyewear for anyone. No Slip. No Bounce. All Polarized. All Fun. Interested in joining our team? Keep reading.

OUR VALUES: We have two core values: Fun & Authenticity.

  • FUN = Being sh*tty isn’t fun. Agreed? Taking pride in your work, finding joy in being GREAT, and celebrating wins… and losses. Now, that’s fun!
  • AUTHENTICITY = Focusing on being authentic over being liked. (Next-level guru stuff. Count it.)

Fun Fact: We do not allow email to be sent internally. Carrier pigeons only. JK, we use Slack.

AUTONOMY: We practice autonomy, empowerment, and accountability so that every team member can be in control of their own life.

  • HYBRID WORKING: This role is required to be in the Inglewood office every Tuesday and Thursday with the occasional third day thrown in.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: We have an all-company learning program so that we’re constantly leveling up our skills.

SUSTAINABILITY: We think Earth’s pretty rad. That’s why we take action wherever possible to limit our impact on the planet.

  • 1% FOR THE PLANET MEMBER: 1% of goodr’s annual sales go directly to environmental organizations.
  • CARBON NEUTRAL: In 2019, goodr became a 100% carbon neutral company.

Fun Fact: goodr celebrates every Earth Day by releasing limited-edition sunglasses with frames made from 100% recycled materials—and the packaging is 100% sustainable, too!

About this role

Goodr is looking for someone to own the payroll and benefits operations as the company scales. You'd manage end-to-end payroll administration in ADP, lead a complete redesign of the benefits program and broker partnership, evaluate future payroll platforms, and handle the full spectrum of HR compliance—from multi-state employment law to workers' compensation claims to annual filings like EEO-1 and OSHA reports. This is high-autonomy work where you'll solve operational puzzles independently and drive system improvements that support growth.

You'll need at least five years in People Operations or HR Operations with hands-on experience administering payroll and benefits across multiple states. ADP experience is important, as is a track record leading HRIS implementations and redesigning benefits offerings. The role values problem-solvers who can navigate complex employee matters with diplomacy, think analytically, and communicate clearly across the organization. A professional HR certification (SHRM, HRCI, CPP, or similar) is a plus.

The position is based in Goodr's Inglewood office and requires in-person attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with occasional third days. You'll report to the SVP of People and work within a company culture that emphasizes autonomy, authenticity, and fun. The salary range is $120K–$140K, plus standard medical, dental, and vision benefits and paid vacation.
