About this role
You would be joining an established radiation oncology group with substantial clinical infrastructure across the Phoenix metro area. The role involves standard medical physics responsibilities—quality control testing, treatment planning review, chart review, and radiation safety oversight—across a diverse equipment portfolio including Varian linacs and HDR units, Accuray Cyberknife and Tomotherapy systems, and emerging adaptive planning technology. You'd be part of a five-physicist team supported by dosimetrists, working in-office across four current clinics with a fifth center launching later this year that will add advanced capabilities like adaptive planning and an in-house theranostics program.
The position requires board certification (or eligibility) from the American Board of Radiology and a master's degree or PhD in medical physics. At least three years of radiation oncology physics experience is preferred, with familiarity in Varian and Accuray systems desirable. Stereotactic and HDR planning experience, as well as background in adaptive planning or theranostics, would strengthen your candidacy. The role demands solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage the technical and safety aspects of a multi-site operation.
The Specialty Alliance operates as a physician-led MSO, meaning the clinical leadership structure remains with physicians while the organization provides operational and administrative support. Standard benefits include health and dental coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and relocation assistance.
