Job Description:
- 520 E Euclid, 78212 & 7333 Barlite
- Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
- Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in a clinic setting
- Complete patient histories and physicals
- Determine tentative diagnosis and order appropriate laboratory tests
- Counsel patient and family on health and disease
- Participate in all continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing purposes at assigned medical facilities
- Work flexible schedule as dictated by business needs and operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- No call
- No inpatient
- Outpatient only
- Average 20 patients per day
- Dedicated to one physician
Required Qualifications:
- TX State Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Experience working as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- GI experience

About this role
San Antonio Gastroenterology Associates (SAGA), part of the GI Alliance network, is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with gastroenterology experience to join their outpatient clinic. You would work in a physician-supervised setting seeing approximately 20 patients per day across two locations, performing patient evaluations, histories and physicals, preliminary diagnosis, and ordering appropriate tests. The role is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with no call or inpatient responsibilities.
This position suits someone looking for stable outpatient work in a specialty practice backed by national infrastructure and support. You'll be dedicated to one physician and expected to maintain credentialing and continuing education requirements. The practice is part of a larger physician-led network designed to reduce administrative burden on clinicians, though day-to-day you'll be focused on direct patient care in the clinic. Texas licensure and prior experience as an NP or PA in GI are required.
