About this role
Comprehensive Mobile Care is looking for an optometrist to staff two Sacramento-area clinics on a part-time basis—specifically, every Monday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. You'd work as an independent contractor earning $1000 per diem, functioning as part of an established clinical team rather than managing your own practice. The role centers on comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis and management of common ocular conditions, lens prescriptions, and patient-centered care within a coordinated, community-focused outpatient setting that prioritizes seniors.
What distinguishes this opportunity is the operational support and predictability it offers. CMC handles equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics, freeing you from administrative overhead while you focus on clinical work. The environment emphasizes quality over volume and is structured around long-term clinic partnerships rather than high-volume retail models. You'd be working alongside full-time clinic staff in an organized setting designed for coordinated care.
The position requires an active California optometry license and an OD from an accredited program. Experience with senior populations is preferred. This setup works well for practitioners seeking meaningful, mission-driven work with schedule consistency and professional support—without the burden of running an independent practice.
