About this role

StepStone Group's Sydney-based Infrastructure & Real Assets team is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to support investment professionals across the full lifecycle of infrastructure deals—from initial due diligence through transaction execution and client reporting. You'd work on primary funds, secondaries, co-investments, and direct investments, handling financial modeling, valuation analysis, research, and memo writing. The role involves building relationships with infrastructure managers, contributing to sector coverage, and increasingly taking the lead on discrete projects as you progress.

You'll need strong financial modeling skills in Excel, the ability to construct and defend investment theses in writing and in Investment Committee settings, and genuine client-facing capability. The work is collaborative; you'll support senior team members, mentor junior analysts, and interact regularly with external partners and clients.

The role is based in Sydney and requires in-office attendance. StepStone emphasizes integrity, client prioritization, teamwork, and a commitment to learning, with a culture described as dynamic and entrepreneurial.
