Description
Clean luxury. Better for you. At Everlane, we believe luxury should be as effortless as it is conscious. We partner with ethical factories, work with premium, sustainably sourced materials, and strive to leave the industry cleaner than we found it. There's still much to do, and we're excited to grow a team of motivated humans ready for the challenge. The journey toward better continues.
At Everlane, our E-Commerce team is at the forefront of creating meaningful and lasting relationships with our customers. We believe great products start with great values — that's why we partner with ethical factories, use high-quality and more sustainably sourced materials, and share the true cost of everything we make. As we continue to grow, our team is focused on building a best-in-class customer experience that reflects our mission and drives long-term loyalty.
We're looking for a Retention Marketing Specialist to help build and optimize the email and SMS programs that keep our customers coming back. You'll get hands-on with campaign execution while also testing new segmentation approaches, building out new lifecycle flows, and pushing our retention program toward best practice. You're excited by both the craft of a well-built campaign and the curiosity of figuring out why it worked.
This position reports directly to the Retention Marketing Manager. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners across the business to bring campaigns to life and translate insights into action.
Your day-to-day:
- Build, test, and deploy campaigns across email and SMS.
- Partner with the Retention Marketing Manager to test new segmentation strategies and surface opportunities to improve targeting and personalization.
- Build out and optimize lifecycle flows, including welcome, abandon, post-purchase, replenishment, winback, VIP, and churn-risk.
- Support list hygiene, deliverability, and compliance across email and SMS channels.
- Move fluidly between execution, and analysis, adapting quickly as business priorities shift.
- Stay current on lifecycle marketing trends and bring fresh ideas and best practices to the team.
- Prepare and leverage email and SMS reporting on an ongoing basis to inform go-forward.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 2-3 years of experience in email/SMS or lifecycle marketing, ideally in online retail/e-commerce
- Hands-on experience with an ESP platform like Klaviyo, Attentive, Emarsys, or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML and similar to build emails.
- A test-and-learn mentality and genuine curiosity about what drives customer behavior
- A strong eye for detail and a QA-first approach to campaign execution
- Comfort working with data to inform segmentation and testing decisions
- A collaborative spirit and enjoy partnering across teams

About this role
Everlane's Retention Marketing Specialist role sits at the center of the company's e-commerce operation, managing the email and SMS campaigns that drive customer loyalty and repeat purchases. You'll own the full lifecycle—from welcome flows through winback and churn-risk programs—testing new segmentation approaches and optimizing messaging to keep customers engaged with the brand's sustainable luxury positioning. The work balances hands-on campaign execution with analytical thinking; you'll build and deploy campaigns, analyze performance data, and translate insights into strategic improvements across channels.
The ideal candidate brings two to three years of retention or lifecycle marketing experience, preferably in e-commerce, with proficiency in an ESP platform like Klaviyo or Attentive and working knowledge of HTML for email builds. You'll need a test-and-learn mindset, strong attention to detail, and comfort working with data to inform decisions. Equally important is the ability to collaborate across teams and adapt quickly as priorities shift—this role reports to the Retention Marketing Manager and requires close partnership with other departments to bring campaigns to life.
