About this role

Monumental Sports & Entertainment is seeking part-time game day support for the Washington Wizards' 2026-27 season. You'd work during home games handling media relations logistics—setting up the media room, distributing credentials, directing journalists, and responding to on-site needs as they arise. The role is straightforward operational work that keeps the press operations running smoothly on game nights.

The position suits someone pursuing or holding a bachelor's degree with interest in sports, communications, or public relations. You'll need to be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Since you'll be covering most home games including evenings, weekends, and holidays, schedule flexibility is essential. Prior experience in PR, communications, or journalism is valued but not required; what matters most is strong communication skills, customer service instincts, and the ability to problem-solve under pressure.

The role pays $18.40 per hour and is seasonal, running through the Wizards' home game schedule. This is a solid entry point if you're building experience in sports media or looking for flexible, event-based work in a major professional sports organization.
